      Henry Self, 54, of Many, died May 6, in Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport,after an extended illness.

      Funeral services were held at the Many Church of the Nazarene, May 7,with the Rev. Billy Franks, and the Rev. Houston Mitchell officiating.Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of WarrenMeadows Funeral Home of Many.

      Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Ora Lee Self of Many; threesons, Rodney Self of Shreveport, and Wayne, and William Henry Self Jr.,both of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Bugg, and Mrs. Brenda Byles,both of Many; one brother, Herschel Self of New Orleans; one halfbrother, Leon Self of Provencal; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Moss, Mrs.Nancy Lawson, and Mrs. Ruby McDaniel, all of New Orleans; one halfsister, Mrs. Agnes Brown of Thibodaux; and seven grandchildren.

      Pallbearers were Warren Stephens, Louis Stephens, Carlton Stephens,Wallace Stephens, James Andings, and Jamiel Sliman.
