      George Farmer, Sabine, Natchitoches Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, May14, 1970

      George Farmer, 76, of Marthaville died in Many at 1:27 a.m. on May 10,following an extended illness.

      He is survived by three sons, Otha and Calvin Farmer, both of Shreveport,Edie Farmer of Marthaville; a brother, Curt Farmer of Pleasant Hill; twosisters, Mrs. Ella Russell of Mansfield, and Mrs. J. B. Melton ofShreveport; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held in Rocky Springs Baptist Church at 2 p.m.Monday, May 11, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, and the Rev. Jason Kayofficiating. Burial was in Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction ofWarren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

      Pallbearers were Pat Farmer, Glen Hardy, Jimmy Farmer, and Philip Brian.
