      Mrs. Malva F. Richards, 84, died at Sabine Medical Center in Many, onJanuary 29, 1989, at 12 p.m.

      Services were held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, on Jan. 31, at 2 p.m.,with Rev. Frank Burton, and Rev. Mack Brister officiating. Burial was atMt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

      Survivors include one daughter, Frances Hogan of Columbia, S. C.; threebrothers, Tom Canady, Oscar Canady, both of Florien, and Oather Canady ofSulphur, La.; six sisters, Ruby Ferguson of Nederland, Tex., GladysHebert of Jasper, Tex., Mayro Caldwell, Jarue Hester of Groves, Tex., IdaMae Reynolds, and Vadis Fawkes, both of Florien; four grandchildren; twostep grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
