      Services were held at Gum Springs Baptist Church on April 12 at 2 p.m.with Rev. Doug Hilton and Rev. Francis Belsha officiating. Burial was atPrewitts Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows FuneralHome.

      Survivors include his wife, Aubrey Bridges Potter of Hornbeck; one son,Donald Potter of Vinton; two step sons, Michael Brown of Hornbeck andEdward Brown of Channelview, TX; one daughter, Tammy Melvin of Hornbeck;two step daughters, Joann McPhail of Hornbeck and Nelda McGee ofChannelview, TX; one sister, Annie Bell Brown of Beaumont, TX and 11grandchildren.

      Pallbearers included David Melvin, Murphy Manning, Huey Sterling, WesleyFarris, Leon McPhail, Eugene Behan and Gearld Behan
