Moses Vandy Leach, 89, of Florien, died in Fraser Hospital South, onTuesday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m., following an extended illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Oma B. Leach of Florien; five sons,Floyd N. Leach of Yucaipa, Calif., William Lester Leach, and L. JimLeach, both of Florien, Don G. Leach of Shreveport, and Jack M. Leach ofWest Monroe; five daughters, Mavis Dowden of Lake Charles, Louise Davis,and Coda Wright, both of Many, June Martin of Baton Rouge, and DorisDaQuilla of McComb, Miss.; and 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Florien First Baptist Church on Friday,Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Delman Rogers, and the Rev. Avon Cavanaughofficiated. Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery, under the direction ofthe Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
