9 Feb 1951 - Funeral rites for George W. Leach, 70, of Florien who passedaway Wednesday of last week at Sabine clinic, Zwolle, following a longillness, were conducted at Prospect Methodist church near Florien 1 p.m.Sunday by Rev. L. B. Ritchie, assisted by Rev. J. H. Holder. Intermentwas under
direction Warren funeral home with Masonic rites at the graveside.
Pallbearers were L. B. Skinner, Jarvis Westbrook, T. M. Phillips, JohnWright and R. T. Martin.
Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Hettie Leach, Florien;brothers Vandy Leach, Florien, Dawson Leach, Ajax; sister, Mrs. NoraLyons, Texas City; Texas; a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Leach was a life-long resident of Sabine Parish, having been engagedin the mercantile business at Florien until 1941, when he retired.
