Mr. Ben C. Isgitt, 74, of Rt. 1, Zwolle, died Sunday, April 23, at 6:50p.m., after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Tuesday,April 25, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. H. T. Isgitt Jr. officiating, assistedby the Rev. Jimmy McWilliams, and H. H. Tibbitts. Burial was in the Mt.Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Mr. Isgitt's body was taken to the Carson Baptist Church, near his home,on Monday, to lie in state until service time.
Surviving relatives are his wife; three sons, B.C. Isgitt Jr. of Belmont,Jimmy Isgitt of Shreveport, and Donald Isgitt of Bossier City; eightdaughters, Mrs. George Strickland, and Mrs. Bernice Lightfoot, both ofZwolle, Mrs. Talmadge Bozeman of Westlake, La., Mrs. Aldo Bandini ofBelle Vernon, Pa., Mrs. Frank Nails of Lafayette, Mrs. W. C. Miller ofBossier City, Mrs. Douglas Free of Shreveport, and Mrs. William Roszellof Houston; 24 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Nails, Jack Lightfoot, Richard Isgitt, George F.Strickland, Glen Strickland, and Allen Isgitt.
