Mr. J. B. Ricks, 77, of Florien, died at Sabine Medical Center in Many,on Jan. 28, 1989.
Services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints onMonday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Jimmy Evans, Bishop Michael Slay,and Glenn Hardy officiating. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, underthe direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Survivors include Louise Ricks of Florien; two sons, James Ricks ofFlorien, and William Ricks of Orange, Tex.; two daughters, Mary Burson ofFt. Wayne Indiana, and Carolyn Funderburk of Florien; two sisters, EffieRicks of Florien, and Willie Mae Bolton of Peoria, Illinois; threebrothers, W. A. Ricks of
Florien, Julian Ricks of Arlington, Tex., and Oscar Ricks of Mansfield;seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
