  From eulogy by brother Don Montgomery, CMS # 304: "Nearly 60 years ago, in the spring of 1946, soon after Marine boot camp, Bob was assigned to a transport company at Camp LeJeune, NC. During his free time,...he hung out at the local radio station, WJNC, Jacksonville. He was determined to become an announcer and disc jockey as soon as his Marine Corps enlistment ended... After studying at a local radio school in Minneapolis, Bob Montgomery began a life of radio broadcasting...Bob started his own company, R.L. Montgomery and Associates, to train executives in public speaking. In all, Bob wrote four books, created five audiocassette albums and made three video cassettes. The subjects were Public Speaking, Selling, Motivation, Listening and Memory...
