      Mrs. Minnie Simpson Salter, 86, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, diedThursday, Oct. 4, at 11:25 a.m. following a brief illness.

      A native of Many, Mrs. Salter had resided in Shreveport for the past sixyears.

      Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Antioch Baptist Churchin Many with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Services were under thedirection of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Rose-Neath Funeral Homewas in charge of local arrangements.

      Survivors include three sons, Homer Salter of Shreveport, Fred Salter ofLufkin, Tex., and Monroe Salter of Many; 10 grandchildren, and 20 greatgrandchildren.
