      Julian P. Salter, 69, of Belmont, died Thursday, Dec. 27, at 7:10 a.m.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julian Salter; three sons, Dale Salterof Many, Zane and Jerry Salter of Belmont; one daughter, Mrs. GloriaManning of Bossier City; two brothers, Willie Salter of Many, and WavelySalter of Ball, LA; two half brothers, Hoyt Woodle of Alco, LA, andEarnest of Morenci, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Wedgeworth of Amarillo,Tex., and Mrs. Lottie Wright of Baton Rouge; two half sisters, Mrs. NanieJean Messina, and Mrs. Elsie McKay; and 13 grandchildren.

      Services were held in the Belmont Baptist Church on Friday, Dec. 28, at10 a.m., with the Rev. J. P. King officiating.

      Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of Warren MeadowsFuneral Home.

      Pallbearers were Michael Pearce, Don Skinner, Leroy Wayne Wright, O. R.Nash, Joe Skinner, and Jerry Cryer.
