Martinez, 72, of Zwolle, died Saturday, May 13, in New Orleans,after a 13 day illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 15, at the St. JosephCatholic Church of Zwolle, with the Very Msgr. Robert C. Friendofficiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, under thedirection of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Martinez of Zwolle; five sons,Father George W. Martinez, and Roy E. Martinez of Monroe, Anthony C.Martinez of Beaumont, Tex., Joseph P. Martinez of Baton Rouge, and SteveMartinez of New Orleans; a daughter, Sister Mary Carolyn of Plaucheville;one brother, Herman Martinez of Zwolle; and two sisters, Elva Ebarb, andElvina Procell, both of Zwolle; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Homer Martinez, Wilson Martinez, J. V. Martinez, LoranEbarb, Johnnie Boudreaux, and Floyd Lopez.
