25 Jan 1946 - Funeral rites for Mumford Byrd, age 81 years, were held atMt. Carmel Baptist church 2 p.m. last Wednesday. Rev. Henry T. Youngofficiated. Interment was in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Massingill funeral homedirecting.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. Mollie Byrd.
For many years, Mr. Byrd was a correspondent of The Sabine Index, writingunder the name of Possum Hollow Rambler. The Index extends sympathy toMrs. Byrd and other relatives.
