      Ada Martha Byrd, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, La., Nov 19, 1981

      Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Martha Byrd of Florien, were held onThursday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Rev.Earl Marr officiated.

      Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the WarrenMeadows Funeral Home.

      Pallbearers were Richard Byrd, David Byrd, Bob Brown, Gerald Byrd, BennyWayne Byrd, and Mike Byrd.

      Mrs. Byrd, the widow of the late Joseph W. Byrd of Florien, died at 10:50p.m., on Monday, Nov. 9, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many,following an extended illness. She was 89.

      Survivors include three sons, M. V. Byrd of Shreveport, Sullivan L. Byrdof Many, and Carroll W. Byrd of Martinsburg, West Virginia; ninegrandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
