Dowsey Jordan of Florien were conductedfrom the Mt. Carmel church Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. W.G. Bailey, pastor of the Baptist church of Florien, conducted the funeralservice assisted by Rev. Roberts of Provencal, Rev. Ricks of Peason, Rev.Henry Isgitt of Converse, and Rev. Herny Chance of Gandy. Mr. Jordan became ill last Sunday morning and died at four o'clock thatafternoon. He was 66 years of age, was a member of the Baptist churchand a devout Christian man. Those surviving Uncle Dawsey are his wife and six children: Bill, Clyde,Homer and Lee Jordan, and Bessie and Leola Jordan. A host of relatives and friends attended the funeral.
