Gladys Elizabeth Martin, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, La., Jun 6,2001 Gladys Elizabeth Martin, 84, of Athens, Texas, died Wednesday, May 30,2001, at Park Highland Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., June 2, at Warren Meadows Chapel,with interment following at Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Cyle Claytonofficiated. Survivors include son, Wayne Martin and wife Gloria of Athens, Texas;three brothers, J. A. Frantom, and J. T. Frantom, both of Vivian, andLawrence Frantom of Pineville; two sisters, Earle Smithy of Mt. Carmel,and Violet Stanley of Kisatchie; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Efton Martin; and herdaughter and son-in-law, Edith and Ray Williams. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Memorial gifts may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Many. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
