Quincy Lester, Sabine, Vernon Parish, Sabine Index, Many, La., Aug 21,1942 21 Aug 1942 - Last rites for Quincy Lester, age 66 years, were heldSunday at Gandy at four o'clock at the family residence, Rev. JulianMcComic of Florien officiating, Dennis-Green Funeral home in charge.Interment was in the Pleasant View cemetery near Hornbeck. Surviving are wife and two children, Mrs. Lester of Gandy; one son, Donof St. Louis, Mo., and one daughter, Mrs. Illamae McConnell of LongBeach, Cal.; one brother, Pat Lester of Many, route four. Mr. Lester died as the result of being hit by an army truck earlySaturday near Gandy and died before reaching a hospital.
