Mr. Ricks, 64, died in Baton Rouge, following an extended illness, onApril 7, at 8:15 p.m. Surviving relatives include two sons, Jimmy Ricks of Evedale, Tex., andSammy Ricks of Houston, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Fillingim ofDenham Springs; four brothers, J. W. Ricks of Nederland, Tex., M. R.Ricks of Port Arthur, Tex., J. C. Ricks of Maplewood, C. A. Ricks ofBoyce; two sisters, Mrs. Rena E. Thomas, and Mrs. Sylvia R. Addison, both of Florien; and fourgrandchildren.
