Ricks, 92, of Florien, were held Dec.18, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Avon Cavanaugh, and J.C. Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under thedirection of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were JohnnyRhodes, Norman Dockens, George N. Addison, W. A. Ricks, Oscar Ricks, andRichard Lombard. The Rev. Ricks died Dec. 17, after an extended illness. Surviving relatives include five sons, Grady of Florien, J. W. ofNederland, Tex., J. C. of Maplewood, C. A of Boyce, and M. R. of PortArthur, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Thomas, and Mrs. G. W. Addison,both of Florien; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
