      26 Mar 1970 - Mrs. Lovie E. Ricks, 49, died in Many March 20 after ashort illness.

      Surviving relatives include her husband W. A. Ricks of Florien, twodaughters Mrs. Nancy Marcantel of Iowa and Miss Martha Ricks ofShreveport; a son, Wayne Ricks of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Nell Rodgersof Shreveport and four grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church March 21 with theRev. Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery underdirection of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
      Pallbearers were Buford Cole, James Ricks, James O. Ricks, Jr., OlinCole, Billy Ricks and Jimmy Campbell.
