      Jim Bell, 73, of Many, died Saturday, March 25, in Many, after anextended illness.

      Funeral services were conducted at the Ft. Jesup First Baptist Church,with the Rev. Ray Penfield, the Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. M. C. Greenofficiating. Interment was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the directionof Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian V. Bell of Many; two sons,Willie Bell of Many, and Bobbie Bell of Florien; three daughters, Mrs.Charlie Self, and Mrs. Una Rhodes of Many, and Mrs. Ray Howard ofPasadena, Tex.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
