While Andrew was repairing the water wheel at his mill, (previously owned by
Jacob Booe) a slave that he had reprimanded earlier deliberately started the
wheel and Andrew was killed in the fall.
NOTE: from "Desc. of Isaac Holeman" Note #34. Were all of these children from
Andrews marriage to Sarah or was he married before? (Note the gap between Ruth
and James F.) Also listed in the household for 1850: Mary and Rachel Booe
(Boone?), aged 15 and 13; were they sisters of Sarah (aged 35)? or children of
a former marriage?
