  !Source for following: Holeman Newsletter; Desc. of Isaac Holeman Buried in Cave Hill cemetery. Joseph enlisted in the Union Army , 48th Regiment, Illinois Vol Inf. Company E, on 14 Sept, 1861, for a period of three years. He was ruptured while building a stockage near Bethel, TN, and was medically discharded at Henderson, TN, on 31 Dec, 1862.
