      From CMSI News Magazine, Spring 2005 per Roy D. Montgomery:
      "Jeanie worked for over 35 years as a secretary at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and took early retirement on August 1, 2003. She served as secretary for numerous years at our small rural Lutheran Church, actively assisted with vacation bible schools, Christmas programs, taught youth Sunday School at various times, and assisted with various fund raising efforts annually.

      She was the catalyst behind our joint family tree research and very active in the process throughout our married life. Through her insistence we attended the Grandfather Mountain Scottish Highland Games in NC in 1987 and joined Clan Montgomery during that visit. Through her support I agreed to become the first Recording Genealogist for Clan Montgomery. We also cohosted Clan Montgomery tents for several years in Roanoke, VA and once in Waxhaws, NC..."
