"Thomas L Sharkey Thomas L Sharkey, 61, of Ida Grove died suddenly Tuesday, NOvember 18, 1896, in Ida Grove of an apparent heart attack. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ida Grove. The Rev. Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery under the direction of Christensen Funeral Home. Mr. Sharkey was born October 16, 1925, in Woodbury County. He was employed by the City of Ida Grove the last 17 years. Survivors include two daughters, Ms Terri Volkmann and Mrs. Anthony (Charlene) Brockman, both of Ida Grove; five sisters, Mrs. Neoma Schwartz of Denison, Mrs. Eva Karhoff and Mrs. Pauline Newman, both of Anthon, Mrs Hans (Violet) Kirkholm of Alta, and Mrs. Frank (Rose) Franzkowiak of Galva, and four grand children."
