I went to Iowa to celebrate with her but a terrible blizzard kept me from getting there. ... Aunt Eva was married to Bernard Karhoff, forever known as Uncle Bun. I haven't got a clue where that came from. Of all the children, in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren Uncle Bun was the first in the family of Jim and Kate Sharkey to die. Aunt Eva had three children Marian, the first grandchild, Robert and Joann. The only place I ever remember them living was in Anthon, IA. They lived on several different farms there."
