  Per deposition of Dortheus Neale Montgomery, widow of Hamilton Montgomery. Deposition was taken 30 April 1842 in Phillips Co., Arkansas. It says: "...Personally appeared before me, ..., Dortheus Montgomery, aged about 70 years...", therefore birth year is estimated as 1842-70=1772. Merged records submitted by CMS# 362, Sara Montgomery Sherwood and 1122, Robert D. Montgomery. Only difference was in birth date: #362 says bn.1770, but #1122 says 1773.
