Notes - Both Burke and T H Montgomery list a birth date of 1598. I think this date
belongs to a different Adam Montgomerie who married Jeanne Hinshaw in Edinburgh
I believe this Adam was born earlier, about 1570, which fits his father, his wife,
and his children better. This leaves only the question of the birthdate of his
mother Janet Montgomery who married Troilius. TH Montgomery also
acknowledges doubts about Janet's birthdate in relation to her two sons.
