  GENEALOGY SUBMITTED BY JOHN ALLEN MONTGOMERY, CMS 719, DATED SEPTEMBER, 1989. In the original submission, there was a question mark by the name, Robert, of this oldest known Montgomery ancestor. This original information came from a family bible. Then in an update dated 12 July 1993, John said that the name of his great-grandfather was W.M. Montgomery based on the 1880 Census for Johnson County, Texas. There were also some other additions and corrections for the children of this person. I wrote John asking him to verify that the census data should be used instead of the bible data, but did not get a response. In an email dated 20 June, 2002, another descendant of W.M. Montgomery sent a query regarding this family and essentially verifying and expanding the 1880 Census data. Entered by John C. Montgomery, CMS 1096, on 26 June, 2002.
