  Per the CMSI News Magazine, Spring 2004: "He was an honor student in the first graduating class of forestry at North Carolina State University, and also attended classes ... at the University of Oklahoma. A primary researcher for the US Forest Service for 45 years... The project was based in Brewton, Alabama and it was there that Mr. Croker retired...
