Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Ferguson Ebarb, 78, of Zwolle, wereheld at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Zwolle on Monday, Dec. 22,with Monsignor Matthew Scanlon of Zwolle, and Monsignor Geroge Martinezof St. Matthew of Monroe officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph'sCemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ebarb died suddenly at her home on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 8:30 a.m.
She was the widow of the late Paul Ebarb, and the daughter of the lateJohn Ferguson, and Josephine Sepulvado.
A lifelong resident of Zwolle, she was born on August 14, 1902.
She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of St. Joseph's CatholicChurch, the American Legion Auxiliary, and twice named a Gold StarMother; and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies'
Auxiliary. She has always been an active worker in her church, and inlocal civic activities.
A rosary was said for Mrs. Ebarb in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel at7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Ensign Jesse Patrick Ebarb, PaulFredrick Ebarb, and Private Joseph Donald Ebarb.
She is survived by six daughters, Ruth Loupe, Kathryn Boudreaux, andVivian Ebarb, all of Zwolle. Theo Ezernack of Natchitoches, Polly Moyerof Baton Rouge, and Frances Bybee of Albuquerque, New
Mexico; eight brothers, Murry Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Eugene Ferguson ofBearden, Fla., John H. Ferguson of Fallchurch, Va., George E. Ferguson ofHattiesburg, Miss., James Ferguson of Slidell, J. Roland Ferguson ofRichmond, Tex., Jesse P. Ferguson of New Orleans, and Michael W. Fergusonof Norman, Okla.; three sisters, Lola Castillo of Lake Charles, LouiseFlanders of New Orleans, and Molly Ferguson of Kenner; a stepmother, InezFerguson of Kenner; seventeen grandchildren, and eighteen greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
