Mrs. Mattie Oxley, Sabine, Natchitoches Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA,Jan 23, 1969 Mrs. Mattie, 82, died in Provencal, Jan. 7, after a lengthy illness. Sheis survived by her husband, A. A. Oxley of Provencal; three brothers,Sim, and Monrow Foshee of Vowells Mill, and Norris Foshee of Provencal;and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Holland of Vowells Mill, Mrs. Gena Donaho,and Mrs. Lizzie Roberts, both of Provencal. Services were held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Jan. 9, with the Rev.Hamp Newton officiating. Interment was at Hickory Grove Cemetery, underthe direction of Warren Funeral Home.
