      Verla L. Moss

      Services for Mrs. Verla Looper Moss will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday,January 11, 2004 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville withReverand LeLand Briggs officiating. Burial will be in Liberty ChapelCemetery, Williana.

      Mrs. Moss, 80, a lifetime resident of Bentley died Wednesday, January 7,2004 in her residence.

      She attended Bentley Baptist Church in Bentley. Mrs. Moss was a counslorfor LTI School for girls and retired after teaching 1st grade at W. O.Hall Elementary. She was a dedicated sportswoman. She enjoyed fishingand hunting with her husband, family and friends. Her stories, sense ofhumor and acts of kindness will be greatly missed by all.

      Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jewel Moss ofBentley, LA; daughter, Sharon M. Foster of Bentley; sister Athena Pettyof Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Shanna and her husband, Steven Ellis ofBentley, Alan Wayne Foster of Bentley; great-grandchildren, Ben, Josh,and Luke Ellis. She also leaves behind her beloved pet Tequila.

      Friends may call Saturday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 4 p.m. un 9p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until service time.

      Pallbearers will be Johnny Chelette, Alan Wayne Foster, Don Foster,Preston Mosley, Wayne Ezernack, Eric Megison, Steven Ellis, Brad Sudduth.

      Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Looper, Eddie Ray DeLoach, and FrancisDobernign.
