Mrs. Fannie Martinez, 80, of Monroe, died in St. Joseph Nursing Home, onThursday, Dec. 29, at 4:05 p.m., following an extended illness. Mrs.Martinez was a native of Zwolle.
Survivors include five sons, Rev. Msgr. George W. Martinez, and Roy E.Martinez, both of Monroe, Anthony C. Martinez of Ben Wier, Tex., JosephPat Martinez of Baton Rouge, and Steve Martinez of
St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Miss Teresa Martinez of Grand Chenier;one sister, Mrs. Lucy Y'Barbo of Chireno, Tex.; 11grandchildren; and fourgreat grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the St.Joseph Catholic Church of Zwolle. Father Patrick A. Scully officiated,with the assistance of visiting clergy. Burial was in the St. JosephCemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home
