    • Lived during the Civil War period. Adline an old Indian womanb lived with them. Bushwackers would break in and take everthing they had to eat. They kept meat and supplies under the bed room floor by raining a loose plank. Bushwackers would catch and whip William G. and his oldest son Sam wo was 19 years old. They had to hide out at night and tie themselves in trees so they could sleep without falling out.
