• Notes

  Charlie's farm on Nine Mile Creek below the Howard Community, had a brick house built by the Tulloch family, 1820-1830, one of the oldest in Tennessee. It was torn down and a frame house built where his son, Tom, lived as he took over the farm and reared his family. Charlie was a great lover of horses, being widely known as a "horse trader".
