  • Notes 
    • Oliver had a farm in Loudon County near Greenback. For several years he operated a dairy and sold products to Burns Grocer in Knoxville. He sold the farm about 1913 to his sons Carroll and Oscar. He built a new home on a lot behind the Greenback Bank. He operated a livery stable.He also had a two story buiiulding near the bank and leased the first floor to the Government for a Post Office. On the second floor he installed a telephone switchboard. He was one of the first turnpike commissioners, a member of the Greenback Masdonic Lodge, and the Woodsman of the World Lodge of Knoxville. He was active in the Pine Grove Presbyterian Church.
