1. Per Alma Baldwin, the tombstone at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Crosses, AK
says: John T.- 11 years old.
2. Census of 1870, Newton Co. MO, lists John T. as 1 year old ( based on
birthday, he would be almost 2.)
3. Per Zola Montgomery Spencer Brashears in 1977 interview, George E. had a son
who was left behind in Arkansas while they made a trip to Rocky Comfort,MO.
When they returned, the son was dead and buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Apparently, this was John T.
4. In letters dated Nov.1978, both Hazel Bruni and Alma Baldwin state that they
had often heard Bernethia Montgomery refer to "brother Turner." Family records
of both Hazel Bruni and Wilma Hedge refer to John Turner Montgomery.
