    • Most information taken from Family Group Sheets from Hazel Bruni and Wilma
      Hedge, GGGrandaughter. Also from newspaper obituary. Details added from book by Linnie Montgomery Cunningham, "Divvying Up of the Dollar."
      Born in Bedford Co., Tennessee per the death certificate of Elizabeth
      Montgomery Sneed, daughter, but obituary says Blount Co. TN. Linnie Cunningham writes that it may have been near Nickajack Cave, west of Chattanooga, but this is based on hearsay.

      Cause of Death: Bronchitis
      Children: Obituary states that there were 11 children, but available records
      only show 8, plus a possibility of another, Newton Jasper. Obituary further
      states that only 6 children were living at time of his death. First 4 children were born in Arkansas as the family moved back from Red River Co., Texas to southwest Missouri. According to Linnie Cunningham, John Patrick worked as a cattleman-farmer at Oliver's Prairie, Missouri, which was just a few miles from the border of Indian Territory.
