    • Montgomery Lynch says Richmond 1863:
      My Father's father (Richard Lynch) died in County Cavern (sic) 14 miles from Dublin in Ireland, his farm joined the Earl of Farnum's He had sons, James Richard and Peyton and three daughters Srar. Sally and Margaret, afterwards ( ) Armstrong and Margaret ( ). Richard Lynch lived in Dublin adn had two children, Richard and Ann. ( added by another : "He being a Methodist Minister".)
      My brother James married Elizaeth Davis of Petersburg , Va & had 9 children George, James, Roderick, Samuel,and David.
      My brother Richard married Eliza Watson of Petersburg and had one son ( John R(?) Lynch) married again Mary Curtis of Richmond & had two children { Richard and Eliza) married agian Margaret Curtis half sister to 2nd wife and had two children (Hugh and Minnie) Alexander Lynch never married, was killed in a duel in Velasco, Texas.
      My Bro. George Lynch married Rosa Bright of New Orleans and had 4 children (Peyton {B.}, Rosa, Edwin, Charles).
      My sister Jane married S.B.R.Loving of Levingston ( ) Virginia, and left two children (Nannie and Rush),
      My sister Ann married James (O?C?) Deaton of Richmond and had 6 children ( Nannie Peytona, James, Ella, Minniehaha amd ( Estelle).

      My husband is from Cavan and he thinks possibly you are talking about Lord Farnham whose plac eis just outside of Cavan Town. Lynch is a very big name in my husbands area which is Bruce Mountain just outside of the town of Arva not far from Lord Farnham's place outside of Cavan Town.
      Ann Lynch Boyer says PeytonLynch was supposedly Catholic and converted, family tradition holds that was his main reason for leaving, but his brother was a Methodist minister in Dublin.
      Peyton's grandgather was possibly James, and Peyton's mother's maiden name may have been Peyton
