• Notes

  per Ann Boyer, Roderick is named as "brother-in =law" in the 1741 will of James Tenant. In fact he was the half-brother of James Tenant. In the 1742 will of Anne Church Thorowgood Trevethan , he is named as "my grandson". Anne was married, first, to Argall Thorowgood, who left a will in Princess Anne Co, VA in 1699. He names his daughter, Elizabeth, in this will, but until the second marriage of Elizabeth, to Lewis Conner II. This marriage took place several years after the death of Argall Thorowgood. It is thought that Roderick is the only issue of the marriage of Lewis Conner II and Elizabeth(Thorowgood) Tenant Conner.
