    • According to Charles Lowe, Sophia Steele was a sister of his wife's
      ancestor, Sarah Trimble Steele. The sisters married brothers, John Patton and
      William Montgomery, and they all moved together to Alabama in 1834. Birth date
      is from the family bible of William and Sarah Steele Montgomery.
