      He moved to Larue County in 1838 became a prominent doctor, leadingcitizen,
      received the first appropriation of money for public schools as School
      Commissioner in Nov. 1845. He once called on Pres. Lincoln to talk aboutthe
      county draft quota. As a result Larue County was the only county in the US
