    • Florence Naomi Montgomery married Frank M. Ward, son of Thomas and Polly Ward, who came to Missouri from South Carolina in 1856 and settled at now Silva, Missouri.
      Frank was the originator of the "Ward Stores", building the first of these stores in Silva, which is till standing.
      His old homeplace is still located across the street from the store.
