T H Montgomery says that Alexander Montgomerie, son of 1st Laird of Braidstane, died 1505 childless.
I see some confusion (Paterson vs Harrison) between this Adam Montgomery, and the son of his brother Robert, also Adam Montgomery.
Both are listed as Laird of Braidstane with death date of 1558. I suspect the Son of Robert is the more correct one.
