ANOTHER FAMILY TRADITION STATES WILLIAM ARRIVED IN PHILADELPHIA FROM EDINBORO, SCOTLAND, THEN TRAVELED BY SHIP AND WAGON TO NEW GARDEN (NOW GUILFORD COLLEGE, GREENSBORO, GUILFORD CO., NC, ARRIVING THERE IN 1772.
