      James Roy Duggan, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Dec 7, 1956

      7 Dec 1956 - Funeral services for James Roy Duggan, owner and operatorfor Duggan's Nursery and Greenhouse, were held Sunday, Dec. 2, in LakeCharles at the Eastdale Baptist church. Mr. Duggan died suddenly,Saturday afternoon after suffering a heart attack at the nursery.Interment was in the Highland Garden of Memories cemetery.

      Mr. Duggan, a native of Florien was a World War I veteran, having servedas a second lieutenant, with duty in France. He was an active member ofthe Eastdale Baptist Church, and, at the time of his death, was servingas chairman on the board of deacons.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elice Duggan; two sons Mack Raymond andLambert; two grandchildren; two brothers, Mack Duggan, a twin brother, ofFlorien and Clyde Duggan of Port Arthur; and two sisters, Mrs. AudreyKeadle of New Orleans and Mrs. Jennie Collyer of Alexandria.
