      Lewis A. Springer, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, La., May 12, 1967

      Lewis A. Springer Sr., 73, of 624 Mary Hill Rd., Pineville, died at 10:45p.m., Friday, April 28, in the Veterans Hospital.

      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the chapel of JohnKramer and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Alton Robertson, and T. L. Garrisonofficiated. Burial was in Kitchen Creek Cemetery at Ball, La.

      Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hattie Vines Springer; two sons, LewisA. Springer Jr., Pineville, Sidney Jarrell Springer, Lafayette; twobrothers, Dewy Springer, Alexandria, and Thomas Springer, Robeline; andfour granddaughters.

      Pallbearers were Allen L. Vines, Reginald Messina, Edward Springer,Kerwin Murrell, John Tubbs, and Robert Andrews.

      Mr. Springer lived in Many in the 1930's, and was employed by the SingerSewing Machine Company. After moving to Alexandria, he was employed atthe Veterans Hospital until his retirement.
