Virginia Ethel Heard, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, La., Dec 21, 1994 Funeral services for Virginia Ethel Heard, 83, were held at 11 a.m., Dec.18, at Warren Meadows Chapel. Dr. Calvin Cantrell, Dean M. L. Agnew, and Canon Larry Williamsofficiated. Interment was in Florien Cemetery, under the direction ofWarren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Heard passed away on Dec. 18, 1994, at Schumpert Hospital,Shreveport. Mrs. Heard was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Heard; onedaughter, Willie Ethel; and two grandchildren. Survivors included five daughters, Bonnie and husband Henry Burk ofZachary, Lucy and husband Doyle Grant of Longview, Tex., Johnnie andhusband Merel Branam, and Linda and husband Tom Watts of Shreveport, Beth and husband David Cantrell of Atlanta, Ga.; one son,James and wife Kay Heard of Shreveport; three sisters, Gladys Martin ofMany, Violet Stanley of Provencal, and Earl Smith of Florien; threebrothers, J. A. Frantom, and J. T. Frantom, both of Vivian, and LawrenceFrantom of Pineville; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty seven great grandchildren.
