  GENEALOGY SUBMITTED BY MARILIN JEAN WATKINS BROWN, CMS 1080. SUBMITTED 6 FEB 1991. Alexander Montgomery and wife, Martha, traveled west with John and Margaret (Jones) Bevans (step-mother) in 1828 to Island Grove, near Berlin, Sangamon County, Illinois, where Alexander was proprietor of the Berlin House. Alexander is said to have had a brother William, who named him in his will (where or when?). Alexander is also said to have a sister Nancy, who married George Boyer. Note a George Boyer, b 5 Aug 1825 Pickaway Co., Ohio, later a judge in Montocella, Il. -- maybe a son?. Also a George Boyer was named in the Montgomery Probate, 1849.
